Trump International Golf Links offers views of the Atlantic from 16 of 18 holes, the newly redesigned golf course is a stunning sight to behold. The average time taken for a round of golf is four hours and thirty minutes. Designed with the philosophy of ‘least disturbance’, the most natural route was taken in laying the course out through the sand dunes. As a result, the golf course in Ireland has an unusual combination of five par 3s and five par 5s. The speed and direction of the wind cause consistent daily variations in play.

After breakfast check out of TIGL and set off for Lahinch Golf Club, host venue for The 2019 Irish Open and annual host for The South of Ireland Amateur Championship. Golf at Lahinch Old Course.

Lahinch Golf Club is a world-renowned links golf course in the village of Lahinch on the northwest coast of County Clare. Lahinch’s Old Course has benefited both from the natural characteristics of the terrain and from the genius of distinguished course architects. Founded in 1892 by officials of Limerick Golf Club Alexander W. Shaw and Richard J. Plummer, they laid out an 18-hole course, which has often been described as the “St. Andrew’s” of Ireland.

Ballybunion Golf Club has a secluded location on the southwest coast of Ireland. Both courses – The Old Course & Cashen Course – are situated right along the shoreline, providing sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean. In 2015, Golfing Magazine voted The Old Course at Ballybunion the No 1 links course in Ireland and recently was rated No 20 in the World!

Today we take to the ring of Kerry and Dooks Golf Links.

Dooks Golf Club is set on the coast of the Iveragh Peninsula, looking out on Dingle Bay, with a backdrop of the Sliabh Mish mountains. Golf has been played here since 1889, making it on of the oldest links courses in Ireland.

Following breakfast make your way to wonderful Waterville.

Waterville Golf Links is a championship links rated 10th in Golf World “Top 100 in Britain and Ireland”. It is the #1 course in the Republic of Ireland whose membership includes, among players, Tiger Woods and Mark O’ Meara. Waterville hosted the 2014 Irish Seniors Amateur and, as in the years past, it is the favorite links for US Tour players before the British Open.

Grab a quick snack (and a pint!) after golf before heading back to Killarney. Dinner is arranged at the Danny Mann in Killarney.

After breakfast check out of Brook Lodge and head for Tralee.

Tralee Golf Club is the only course in Ireland, and the only links course, designed by Arnold Palmer, this stunning setting represents a true paradise for those willing to challenge what is widely acclaimed as one of the finest links courses in the world. “Arnie” has been know to say “I designed the front 9 but surely God designed the back 9”!!

We will be making our way to Belmullet and the Broadhaven Bay Hotel next, recommend stopping for dinner at Moran’s on the Weir en route to County Mayo! We are also invited to Galway Bay Golf Resort for dinner as well so we have some choices for dinner.

Carne Golf Links in North Mayo on the West Coast of Ireland lies in magnificent unspoiled sand dunes overlooking Blacksod Bay and the wild Atlantic Ocean near the town of Belmullet. This Belmullet beauty was the last links course to be designed by the late Eddie Hackett and it is now believed by many who have played it to be his greatest design. There are 27 holes of sheer delight at Carne, make sure to experience all of them when you make the trip up to Mayo!

After an early breakfast head for Co Sligo Golf Club, venue for the West of Ireland Amateur Championship.

This world famous golf course in Rosses Point offers an excellent challenge. The traditional links layout, designed by Harry Colt, utilizes the natural contours of the dune-covered landscape rather than moving large amounts of earth during its design. Co Sligo Golf Club is the annual host of The West of Ireland Amateur Championship and present a classic challenge to golfers of all abilities.

Grab a quick snack after golf, our Final Round of the No Laying Up Tour in Ireland will take place at Enniscrone Golf Links!

Enjoy dinner at the Enniscrone Clubhouse after golf, for those able we would recommend a few farewell drinks at the Auld Shebeen in Ballina.
