St Anne’s Golf Club will celebrate their Centenary in 2021 and as part of the celebrations they will be running a Centenary Challenge as part of this! Along with partner venues Portmarnock Hotel & Golf Links and County Louth Golf Club it promises to be 4 days of fabulous Links Golf on Ireland’s Ancient East Coast from Tuesday 7th to Friday 10th September 2021.

The picturesque Portmarnock Links

Day 1 of the St Anne’s Centenary Challenge will take place at Portmarnock Links, on Tuesday 7th September 2021! Behold a fantastic links course and superb test of golf in a stunning setting right on the beach. Designed by Bernhard Langer, the course has played host the GUI, PGA and Ladies European Tour events over the years and is a superb venue for the Opening Round.

The 2nd Day takes us to St Anne’s Golf Club, our Host Club, on Wednesday 8th September 2021! Opened on 1st July 1921, St Anne’s won’t be long after its Centenary Birthday when players from home & abroad tee it up for its Centenary Challenge. Situated on North Bull Island, the only Biopshere located entirely in a Capital City, it is an area of amazing natural beauty where a balanced relationship between people and nature is actively managed and promoted.

County Louth Golf Club

The Third Round heads up to the road to County Louth and County Louth Golf Club on Thursday 9th September 2021. The Baltray course has been the long time annual host to the East of Ireland Amateur Championship and also hosted The 2009 Irish Open (won by Shane Lowry who was still an Amateur at the time) among other fine Tournaments to have graced the County Louth links. A beautiful & brilliant test of golf on Ireland’s Ancient East Coast where the contending teams will fight it out on “Moving Day” in Baltray.

St Anne’s Golf Club

The fitting finalé for the St Anne’s Centenary Challenge will take us back to the Host Club, St Anne’s Golf Club, on Friday 10th September 2021 where the Champions will be crowned. The first 100 years of St Anne’s Golf Club have been steeped in history – from the early days of Marmaduke Devitt & Tussy Murray to the exploits of Golf Professional Paddy Skerritt, the club developments in the 1960s including the new Clubhouse and focus on an 18-hole course which became a reality in 1989. The recent years have been headlined by the unfortunate burning down of the 2nd Clubhouse in 2000 which was replaced by a new & superbly designed Clubhouse with views over Dublin Bay which was opened in 2003 along with the redesigned course that many Members & Guests enjoy today. The St Anne’s Clubhouse will host the Prize Giving Dinner at the conclusion of the Tournament after what promises to be 4 fantastic days.

The Tournament Format will be Team of 4 with 2 scores to count on each hole. Event Packages are as follows:

  • Golf Only – €469 per person
  • 3 nights’ Play & Stay – €755 per person sharing B&B
  • 4 nights’ Play & Stay – €845 per person sharing B&B
