The 10th Anniversary Tournament of the Social Media Open will be celebrated when the Event returns to Ballybunion Golf Club, Tralee Golf Club & Dooks Golf Club from Tuesday 25th to Friday 28th April 2023! You can enter your Team HERE for next year.

The Tournament has visited courses including Mount Juliet, Castlemartyr, Adare, Old Head, Doonbeg, Ballybunion Old & Cashen, Tralee and Dooks over the years with the Event’s home definitely found in the County Kerry Links Courses over the past few years.
Day 1 of the Social Media Open 2023 will take place at Ballybunion Old & Cashen on Tuesday 25th April 2023 with some overflow tee times at Tralee Golf Links.
The 2nd Day of the Tournament will be again at Ballybunion Old & Cashen with those having played The Old the day before playing the Cashen on Wednesday 26th April. There will be overflow tee times on the day at Dooks Golf Links.

Moving Day at the Social Media Open takes the majority of the field to the tremendous Tralee Golf Links while those having played Tralee and Dooks on Days 1&2 will tee it up at Ballybunion Old on Thursday 27th April 2023.
The Final Day’s play of our 10th Anniversary Tournament will see us back at Dooks Golf Links for most golfers while Ballybunion Cashen will provide the last 18 holes of the week for 56 golfers in the field on Friday 28th April 2023. There will be a Final Day Dinner that evening back in Killarney for those on the Play & Stay packages.

The format of the Tournament will follow the same setup as in previous years.
Par 4s & Par 5s: Both players tee off and pick one tee shot, from this spot both players then play their own ball from there. The first player to play will be the player whose tee shot is chosen (Play as Lie depending on the Local Rules on the day), the 2nd player may then place their ball within a scorecard not nearer the hole.
Par 3s: Both players play their own ball for the duration of the hole
Scoring – Team of 2 with both scores on holes 9 & 18 and 1 score to count on the other holes each (3/4 Handicaps apply) – while the Tournament packages are as follows, all packages includes 4 Rounds of Golf, Goody Bag, 10th Anniversary Tournament Golf Shirt from Kwack Golf, Forecaddy at Ballybunion Old Course and Final Day Dinner for those on 4/5 night Play & Stay Packages. There is space for 144 golfers (72 Teams) on the usual running order – Ballybunion Old & Cashen, Tralee & Dooks – while the final 56 golfers (28 Teams) to enter will start at Tralee Golf Links, then onto Dooks, Ballybunion Old & Ballybunion Cashen.

- Play & Stay 4 nights – €929 per person sharing / €1,858 per Team of 2 (includes Final Day Dinner)
