Tom brought his wife Catriona back to Adare Manor to celebrate their 1st Wedding Anniversary in late December and they had an amazing time! Having gotten engaged there 2 years previous this was a very special return to The Manor and they were suitably delighted and impressed and thoroughly enjoyed their stay. Here are some of the memories from an epic stay in Adare Manor.215_Stateroom_King_Bedroom_preview.jpeg

Check In is very chilled out, take a seat on the couch and a member of the amazing Adare Manor team will take you your room. Just sign on their accompanying Tablet and you’re good to go! Of course then you’re in this stunning bedroom!! We had managed to get an upgrade to one of their Staterooms which had a fantastic view of the 15th & 16th Hole, the in-room views weren’t half bad either! Being a bit of a techy as well the fact that I could control the room from the Tablet was just class including the curtains, television and the floor sensor that turned the lights on when it became obvious somebody was getting out of bed was very cool indeed.Cinema Adare Manor

The Spa at Adare Manor is absolutely fabulous, the La Mer treatments are very special indeed (or so Mrs Kennedy tells me anyway!). If you are staying at The Manor you should definitely book one! The relaxation rooms are amazing also and really adds to the overall feeling of being away from it all, I could have stayed there for a few hours!! We decided to visit the awesome cinema afterwards, a great setup and definitely a popular spot for young and old. Having the Christmas themed films was really cool, and along with a nice warm box of popcorn it was a great experience.2017-12-21 19.17.17

A pre-dinner cocktail was called for in the Drawing Room and it is safe to say the mixologist has been hard at work developing some innovative and tasty cocktails in good measure! Next up was dinner in The Oak Room, always a great experience and that evening was of the same superb standard that we had enjoyed before. Their superb Scallop starter being the highlight amongst some delectable Venison while dessert was to die for too! Added to this some excellent Amuse Bouche and some Petit Fours we were definitely fed and found as we made our way to The Tack Room for a nightcap before bed! Their Christmas cocktail was fairly amazing, looked more like a science experiment that a drink but they got all the various elements of the chemistry correct!

The following morning started with a delicious breakfast and probably one of the best spreads imaginable, in one of the nicest settings you’ll ever ask for – The Gallery! Eggs Benedict to die for plus a few Clonakilty Black Puddings on the side, heaven! After overindulging at Breakfast (well it was our 1st Wedding Anniversary after all!!) we decided to take a bicycle ride around the grounds of Adare Manor, for a look at all the great renovations done and also burn off some of the brekkie calories! Having worked at The Manor from 1996-2002 and played and stayed numerous times since I was pleasantly surprised and delighted with the wonderful work done. Unfortunately we didn’t get to see much of the golf but hopefully I will in the near future (the golf course is due to re-open in March this year).

So that was Tom’s trip to Adare Manor last December, a thoroughly enjoyable one as you can see! If you would like to add the amazing Adare Manor to your next Sightseeing or Golf Itinerary in Ireland drop us a line – info@experienceirelandgolfandtravel.com – or call +353-64-6622830.
